WHAT DEPARTMENT DO YOU WORK IN, AND WHAT ARE THE MAIN TASKS OF YOUR CURRENT POSITION?
I manage and supervise the production of bread and baguettes, ensuring quality, production rates, machine settings and compliance with health and safety regulations.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT DÉLIFRANCE ?
I enjoy the technical and dynamic aspects of the job. As a line operator, you need to be alert, responsive and able to deal with the unexpected. I also enjoy working as part of a team and having responsibilities on the production line.
WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND?
I am proud of my career path. I joined Délifrance a year ago; I started out in the packaging department (as a packaging machine operator and stand-in packaging supervisor) and then moved into production, where I now work as a production line operator and stand in for the production supervisor.
WHAT ARE THE REASONS THAT LED YOU TO JOIN US?
I was looking for a new role that would allow me to explore something different and develop my skills. The prospect of working in the food industry and on production lines appealed to me, particularly because I enjoy the hands-on, technical side of the job.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW EMPLOYEE?
Take the time to learn, ask questions and, above all, don’t hesitate to ask for help. At first, there’s a lot to take in, but over time you get into a routine and become more independent.
IF DÉLIFRANCE COULD BE SUMMED UP IN A SONG TITLE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
« Ça plane pour moi » Because at work, you need to be able to stay serious when you have to, but also know how to have a laugh and keep the atmosphere light-hearted.
WHAT ARE THE THREE THINGS YOU WOULD BRING TO A DESERT ISLAND?
A multi-purpose knife so I can fend for myself, a lighter to start a fire and… someone who knows how to fish!
DO YOU HAVE AN INCREDIBLE TALENT?
I’d say I’m quite resourceful. I like to understand how things work and find a solution when there’s a problem, whether at work or in everyday life.
