The VIVESCIA Group’s 2030 climate objectives certified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi FLAG)

The international organization Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) certified mid-June 2024 the climate change mitigation objectives for 2030,
supported by our parent company and to which Délifrance is proud to contribute.

Committed since February 2023 to a SBTi trajectory of reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, the VIVESCIA Group and all its companies have placed climate challenge at the heart of their priority issues as part of their sustainable development strategies – Baking Good BETTER for Délifrance and LINK for the VIVESCIA Group.

The result of a work initiated more than two years ago and which mobilized all the VIVESCIA Group and Délifrance teams to quantify, evaluate, model and take action - our climate roadmap is built around unifying objectives for 2030.

"We are incredibly proud to have our GHG emissions reduction efforts certified by the SBTi. This certification highlights our dedication to the decarbonization of our activities and also reinforces our commitment to put sustainability at the heart of our business.
We are honored to contribute to the broader environmental goals of VIVESCIA Group and to play our part in the global fight against climate change. We believe that our efforts, combined with the collective actions of other industry leaders, will drive significant progress toward a more sustainable and resilient future."

2030 SBTi certified Objectives

reference year 2021

Scopes 1 & 2

↘ - 42% of GHG absolute emissions on its direct scope of responsibility

Scope 3

↘ -29%* of GHG absolute emissions on its indirect scope of responsibility

* a reduction distributed as follows: - 25% scope 3 outside FLAG and - 30,3 % on FLAG scope (Forest, Land and Agriculture : new sectoral carbon methodology since March 2023).

In accordance with the SBTi directives, VIVESCIA and Délifrance have also set themselves a goal of non-deforestation on their main potentially affected raw materials by December 31, 2025.

This commitment by VIVESCIA Group naturally requires Délifrance to align emissions reduction targets with the latest climate science.

The focus is on specific areas of work, according to their importance in our carbon footprint:

  •  Purchases of raw materials (butter, cocoa, wheat flour, etc.)

  •  Energy and refrigerant gases

  •  Freight

All of our teams are working to limit the impact of Délifrance on the environment and reduce our GHG emissions.

"Achieving SBTi certification is a significant milestone for Délifrance. This certification reflects our deep commitment to sustainability and the validation of our efforts to integrate environmental responsibility into our core business strategy. We are dedicated to continuing our work in reducing our carbon footprint, to reaching our 2030 targets and supporting the ambitious climate goals of VIVESCIA Group".
